I was able to make it to the March meeting for Wahkiakum Port District #2 recently and offered the possibility of the port coming on as the first customer of Skamokawa Internet Services. They were very supportive of our proposal and seem to be committed to the development of high-speed internet in their district. They understand that the initial phase of this project won’t provide service outside of the immediate Skamokawa highway community, but I am optimistic that they will be a strong supporting of future expansion and one of the possible solutions to bring fiber to the homes in our community.

Check out the article from the March 22nd Wahkiakum Eagle for their summary of the meeting.
